Chapter closed

Hi,
Just wanted everyone to now I am now officially home. I landed in Boston this morning after a two week intensive Chemistry and Biology class in CA. It was absolutely crazy to do a 16 week class in 10 days, but God was SO faithful. He provided me with a car (thank you cousin Katie), housing (thank you Mama Jan and HA), and most importantly, a tutor who went above and beyond (thank you, Peggy.)  I completed the final Sat. afternoon and so pending the results, I'll start PT school Sept. 3.

It has never felt so good to be in my own house, bed, car, etc.  I'm enjoying each moment I'm here as they'll pass all too quickly.

I want to thank you for taking this journey to Africa with me. I don't think you will ever fully know the incredible support you have been for me in the last few months.

As I get home and begin to process, I am overwhelmed with so many things. I am so grateful for the incredible blessing of being able to go to Uganda and experience so much. I was asked yesterday what was the most challenging thing I learned while I was there. My mind went straight back to the post about loving people.

Each day I was convicted of my inability to love fully and my dependence on the Lord to love though me. As I return home I am reminded that this is not a "Uganda only" lesson... I am continuing to learn each day that wherever I am, I am called to love with Christlikeness.

As I've shared my photos, I have been overwhelmed by the memories of each of our babies and the lives they are living. I picture the mamas getting them ready each day, working their gardens, hand-washing their laundry and trying to provide for their families. I picture their tired and frail bodies and their eyes that sparkle. In each snap shot I am reminded of the gift I was given meeting these amazing people.
I am so aware of the incredible gift that is mine, knowing that one day we'll be reunited in eternity, kneeling together at the feet of Jesus with all traces of the struggles of life on earth gone.

I pray that as I seek the Lord in this, I will be so aware of the way He desires me to grow and learn from these experiences. Thank you for walking this journey with me.
